 The BBFC classification is an age rating that is regularly updated guidelines. Classification is the process of giving age ratings and content advice to films and other audiovisual content to help people choose the film or program that's best suited to them. films for release are usually watched by two compliance officers and in most cases their age rating recommendation is approved by the compliance managers. The officers overlook issues such as bad language, dangerous behavior, discrimination, drugs, horror, nudity, sex, violence and sexual violence. also consider context, tone and impact, how it makes the audience feel and even the release format. 

The first is Universal (U) this film is suitable for audiences aged four and above. They should be set within a positive framework and offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror. potential dangers will be disapproved and there's no emphasis on realistic or easily accessible weapons.

PG movies or shows may contain some mild language, violence, or themes that may not be suitable for very young children with the guidance of parents.

12A (Suitable for 12 years and over): These movies or shows are suitable for viewers aged 12 and above. Children under 12 can watch if accompanied by an adult.

15 (Suitable for 15 years and over): These movies or shows are suitable for viewers aged 15 and above. They may contain more intense or mature content, including strong language, violence, or sexual references.

18 (Suitable for adults only): These movies or shows are suitable for adults aged 18 and above. They may contain explicit content, strong violence, or scenes of a sexual nature.


For our film, it will be a 15 because as we are creating a knockoff horror film they often contain intense scenes, violence and scary elements that may not be suitable for the younger audiences.
